When to use it
Use it during intake to record title, author, creation dates, producer, PDF version, encryption status, and page count; before sharing to remove unwanted descriptive fields; or before archiving to add meaningful identification.
View and edit PDF Title, Author, Subject, Keywords, and Creator — plus page count, dates, and Info fields.

Processing happens locally in your browser whenever possible.
Clean, fast interfaces designed for everyday productivity.
Inspect PDF properties — file size, page count, Info fields, dates, version, and encryption status — entirely in your browser. Copy values you need, or edit Title, Author, Subject, Keywords, Creator, and Producer before downloading.
Upload a PDF to read available metadata. Missing fields are labeled Unavailable. Edit fields only if you want to save a new PDF.
Copy individual values or the full summary for intake checklists and production notes — without inventing missing data.
Use Remove all metadata to clear every editable field, confirm, then save. Blank fields are omitted from the Info dictionary on export.
Everything runs locally with pdf-lib. Your PDF never leaves this device — no uploads, accounts, or server processing.
Practical guidance
PDF Info fields help identify and route a file, but they do not describe every production property. This tool exposes available values and distinguishes missing fields from known values.
Use it during intake to record title, author, creation dates, producer, PDF version, encryption status, and page count; before sharing to remove unwanted descriptive fields; or before archiving to add meaningful identification.
If intake shows Producer = Adobe PDF Library, 24 pages, and no Title, you can record the producer and page count exactly, add a job-specific Title, and save a new copy. Do not infer the design application, color space, fonts, or print standard from the producer field alone.
Dockzio reads the PDF Info dictionary and document properties available to pdf-lib. Title, Author, Subject, Keywords, Creator, and Producer can be edited or cleared; saving writes a new local PDF while leaving the uploaded file unchanged.
Removing editable Info fields is not a full forensic sanitization. PDFs may retain XMP packets, annotations, attachments, form data, revision history, or visible personal information. Inspect sensitive files with an appropriate redaction and sanitization workflow before release.
